ABOUT
I am Alex Shulga, sound producer and Dolby Atmos/stereo mixing & mastering engineer from Ukraine currently based in Sweden.

Since 2010 I have been producing and mixing/mastering records for top Ukrainian artists such as Jamala, Alyona Alyona, Kalush Orchestra, Sunsay, Okean Elzy, Sergiy Babkin.
At the moment I work at Nilento Studio in Gothenburg, mainly exploring the world of immersive audio.

For the last 9 years, I have been focusing on my own project 'Sound Kalpa - Audio Journeys'.

Philosophy

I am deeply convinced that sound is about feelings and energy. It is a complex invisible architecture that penetrates every cell of our being and touches the deepest levels of our conciseness. A sound is a powerful tool for healing our soul and body.


AUDIO JOURNEYS
During Sound Kalpa Journeys people are immersed in spatial audio with closed eyes, the sound penetrates every part of a body, flying around and creating an inner personal "movie" inside each participant. At these sessions, one can experience deep relaxation and mental cleansing effects with many valuable insights as well as a deep transcendental experience.

STUDIO
I am a big fan of detailed and deep analog sound, my studio is equipped with vintage and modern gear from SSL, Universal Audio, Neve, Wes Audio, etc.; microphones from Peluso, JZ, and others; Dave Smith, Moog & Elektron synthesizers and sample machines, a collection of percussion and ethnic instruments. I am using PSI A21 speakers as my main monitors and Reftones as secondary.
